i desperately want to like ursula k le guin, and sometimes i do (but like…mildly at most). it’s just that her work is so obviously written by the daughter of two white anthropologists. the plot of most of her short stories mostly lead to nowhere, and they’re filled with poorly built worlds (ironic since she’s infamous for her extensive world building skills) that reek of colonizer / white weirdo obsessed with brown people / margaret mead vibes. overall meh
