Fred was an accountant who was turned into a vampire. Now he's a vampire accountant (working from home). And his life got better, mostly. He's still mild, nerdy, inoffensive Fred, but now he has a girlfriend, plus a zombie assistant, a weresteed, and a necromancer as best buddies. They have adventures.

Pleasant, inoffensive, but not terribly exciting. But if you're tired of grimdark stories or too much blood and gore, it may be just right for you. I think there are more books in the series too.

I mean, what I did I expect really?

MC with 'no personality' as his defining trait, immediately gets into a relationship with beautiful highschool friend. It's such a shameless self-insert, that I almost respect the brazenness.

These characters live in our modern world, but they're causing so much disruption with big magical displays - and no normal person has ever noticed? Ok.

While I'm at it, why are they hiding from normies? No reason is given. They just need to keep their vast magical world, a secret. Maybe it's for tax reasons?

MC predictably weak when the story needs it, and able to pull off daring heroics (with zero training) when it's needed.

This 'Agency' is shady af. Crystal would have killed zombie Albert because "zombies go crazy without a job to do". Luckily Fred hired this undead teenager, or Crystal would've had a shovel with his name on it. Some really fucked up implications too.
