The Wrong Game
Reviews

I had big hopes for this one. Love the cover and how much it gives fall vibes so I thought it was the perfect book to pick up. And while I think the beginning of the book was great and was set up well it just ended up falling flat. It started getting repetitive while there were things still needing to happen that ended up being rushed instead. It honestly felt too long. I won’t lie I picked up the book thinking it was a sports romance and was given a reality check real quick when I found out it wasn’t 😂
But I will say I think this book had more football in it than any football romance I’ve ever read, probably any sports romance honestly. What I do wish for though in this situation is that if we are taking from real times and events have them be accurate. This being about the Chicago bears and them actually securing a playoff win is just not accurate for me as a reader who like watching football too. This is me assuming it is a somewhat recent release too since the 2016 year was mentioned so it was after that and that Chicago haven’t gotten a secured playoff spot since 2010. And haven’t been in contention except for wildcard games that they also still lost not putting them in playoffs. When real things are brought into books they are also critique even if this isn’t a sports romance. Had the team been fictional it wouldn’t bother me so much.
Now I won’t like it was going to get a 3.5⭐️ but the third act breakup I wasn’t a fan of because of how rushed it was and was lacking authenticity. But chapter 22, ifykyk🌭

Ive had this on my TBR list for forever and I am so glad I picked it up! This was such a good read, such a fun concept too. It gave a new twist to the typical love story. Zach is such a lovable, sweet and patient MMC.

I was thoroughly obsessed with this book once I finished it. Honestly in a way it was my perfect sports romance book. The characters were amazing. Overall was perfect to read. I for one love reading about football and this was great. The romance was top tier, the emotions and balance between the characters was amazing.

I really wanted to love this one more but I was a bit let down that instead of the sports romance I was expecting, I got a sports-watching romance lmao. The romance was still pretty cute!
