Then There Was You

This was a good second chance romance! I am a big fan of these and Claire Contreras did this one right. Tessa and Rowan have known each other for a very long time and kind of dated (even though he really doesn't date. Tessa was special though and old feelings rise when they see each other again when Tessa is back in town to get her stuff from her childhood home that is going to be put on the market. During the course of this book we realize that their familes have history and this kind of influences other parts of their lives as well. Things neither of them ever knew comes to the surface while they're getting to know the other again. Only neither of them can deny what they're feeling. I love how this comes to light while reading chapters from both of their POVs, add some flashbacks and we slowly get to know these characters well. Claire Contreras had me hooked from page one and left me wanting more after I read the last page. After reading this I think most of us wouldn't mind a Rowan and I am really hoping Tessa gets everything she wants. I loved how this book took its time. Nothing happened too soon. All I know is I wish I had the second book at this moment. If you love second chances, humor, romance and some family secrets, this is a book for you!
