Well-written and engaging thriller!

Brian Freeman has written a great thriller in Thief River Falls. I really don't want to say anything about the plot, but once you get on this train to Northern Minnesota, it is really hard to get off once the trip starts.

So this is about an antogonist named, Lisa, a best seller author and basically famous in her hometown, Thief River Falls. She ends up finding a boy who is basically telling her that he witness a murder. This book was a total attention grabber from the very beginning. I like the antagonist's personality and how she is able to find ways to help the little boy despite having vague details of his backstory. It definitely was a total plot twist near the end between her and the little boy, it blew my mind. This is something I would totally watch if this was made into a movie. Best novel I've read and it deserves 5 out 5 stars and more. I am defnintely recommending this to all of you. A great mystery, suspense book. In my opinion, this was a fast pace novel. When you pick up a great book you basically devour it as fast as you can. This is my first Brian Freeman novel I read and I know for sure it won't be my last.

She has to help the little boy who is running from the police, just like she does in the story she wrote. But Lisa isn’t equipped to handle this on her own so she leans on some of the only friends she has left since all of her family died a few years ago. Things have already been hard for Lisa but this certainly tops it all!

Thief River Falls is 343 pages long and took me four days to read.

I had fun reading this book and give it a 3.5 out of 5! It is dark but keeps you hooked the whole way through! Great for fans of action!

Twisty thriller with flat ending

No spoilers but whenever I read two thirds of a book only to have a twist based on the lead character suddenly appear I always feel a bit cheated.

That said, imaginative thriller, and despite the oddly stitles dialogue at times it rattles along smartly enough, just leave your disbelief at the door, or better still, burying it in the ground...
