Time and Time Again, at the heart of it, asks readers to consider how the choices we make impact the world around us. Our troubled hero, Hugh Stanton, has to confront this notion as he travels back in time to the start of WWI. His task? Stop the war from ever happening.

It's an interesting concept. The book asked some difficult questions and challenges us as readers to think about what we would do if we were in the character's situation. I, personally, enjoy when books ask questions such as these. I find it engaging and insightful. While I appreciate the overall concept and the deeper questions this novel is asking us to ponder, some aspects fell flat. The love interest, for example, was a tad ridiculous and unbelievable. Then there was that ending. It was abrupt and left absolutely nothing resolved. This may be relative to the author's main point, the theme of choice and action. Essentially, the reader is left wondering what happened to the world that Stanton and his society created.

Overall, the premise was exciting and the world Elton created was intriguing. I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys pondering philosophical dilemmas.
