Lesser Evil (Star Wars

After finishing this book, I'm pleased to say that I have been utterly devastated by this trilogy. I started reading because I was interested in Thrawn's character, but I left attached to the various characters introduced here and fascinated by the extended lore about the Star Wars Universe. It's quite rare for a book to include a cast of characters that are fleshed out and developed well, but this trilogy managed to do just that. I felt nothing but satisfaction as I closed the final chapter of this book (though, I did feel slight frustration because of the turnout of Thrawn's sentence). Now, the only thing on my mind is wondering what in the world happened to Thrawn for him to turn into that formidable and ruthless imperial admiral. I'm afraid that I have to keep on reading into the next trilogy to find out, but I'm still too latched onto this trilogy to move on. Overall, I had an absolute blast reading this final book of the Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy, and I gained a deeper, more appreciative view of the expanded Star Wars universe.

I need to refresh my memory about certain past events referenced throughout this series but overall this is an exciting conclusion to Thrawn's prequel! The end is where the exciting stuff happened, the beginning-middle setting us up for the epic fight. Full review to come
