Vision of the Future

My least favorite series by Zahn. Now I know why it's rarely recommended. My guess is that this series was originally supposed to be 3 books, but either the reception to the first was too poor, or Zahn was having trouble making a compelling ending to a second book. Ultimately the story was slow and dry, with many moving parts, but not very many interesting ones.

When I started reading these two Hand of Thrawn books, I was kind of confused by all the characters and where they were all going - literally all over the galaxy and beyond. But then Timothy Zahn brings the threads together in some crazy and exciting ways and I couldn't put it down towards the end.
