Easily one of the most exciting volumes of the series. I loved seeing the flashback to Yoruichi and Soi Fon’s past, and the conclusion to their battle was one of the most heartfelt moments in the entire series. I loved Ichigo and Byakuya’s fight, easily one of the best in the series, and I loved the scene where Ichigo reveals his Bankai for the first time. The artwork in this volume felt epic and grandiose, and you can really tell that Tite Kubo has a passion for this story and these characters that just jumps off the page. The reveal at the end of this volume was exciting and segues into the beginning of the end of the Soul Society arc, and I’m excited to see how the manga unravels this storyline and arc.
