Too Late
Reviews

Just needed a quick and easy book to read after two boring DNFs. Nothing about this book was quick or easy. Very hard read. Colleen Hoover's brain must be studied.

another great roller coaster read. enjoyed it start to finish. very hard to put down

Not gonna lie it took me months to finish this book. The first half was good second half was just bland until the very end.

felt on edge all the way through the book however felt the ending was unoriginal to her other books

Loved the suspense. I liked how well you really got to know the true intentions of each character.

Read on Wattpad. Will now be a published.

Had trouble putting the book down. Every page is thrilling and keeps me wanting more. It got me excited and had my imagination running wild.

I could not put the book down… I turned each page with anticipation and fear.

This story was great!! Very gripping and thrilling. I couldn't put it down!

I personally think that the book Too Late, bu Collleen Hoover is a magnificant book.

Interesting and some unexpected turns toward the end, but not my favourite from Colleen Hoover. Also would like to say it could be very triggering for those who have been in similar DV situations…

It was very easy to get into but can see how it would be triggering to someone who may have experienced this kind of situation before.

Interesting enough to finish…. Wouldn’t recommend.

was a different take and kept you wanting more with each turn of the book

I read through this book so fast that even I would be like damn girl, you were thirsty. Thirsty for that dark and twisty plot line! This is only my second CoHo book (Verity being my first), but now I can see why there's so many CoHo stans. What an impeccable job with the character build up.

I love Colleen Hoover, but this book was very different from all the book she written. It was raunchy, savage, and did I mention raunchy? I commend her for the way she writes, the book is written in the perspective of three different characters. The way CoHo address each character was incredible you go for awww thats cute to oh my God I hate this character. I was really impress in how Asa character was written she did such a good job, illustrating his point of view. Even though everybody hated him I appreciate the fact that she got a reaction from us which for me was hate and laughter. I am completely curious to see what honestly inspired her to write this book. That ending had me like --> o.O are you serious ? I will have to say reading the book on Wattpad was an awesome experience, the comment section through out the book was such a treat. I honestly love seeing other people reaction as the book went by. Definitely made the book experience very unique.

Felt like It Ends with Us but with drugs and more violence and delusions of grandeur.

This was so bad I genuinely almost threw up halfway through.

It kept me on the edge of my seat. Not bad.

** spoiler alert ** THIS WAS HEARTWRENCHING, EMOTIONAL AND THE FACT THAT LUKE RAN TO SLOAN WHEN HE GOT INTO A CAR CRASH OMH AHHHH

Domestic abuse, rape and violence (murder) trigger warning. You know the books that stay with you long after you read them? The ones that you could have read years ago but every so often, they creep up to the forefront of your mind. This is a book that is going to stay with me for a very long time. This book has 3 different POV's, each written in first person. There is Sloan, who is trapped in a relationship with a very dangerous individual. She has no real way of getting out without consequences. She has to think of her brother, who has special needs. If she was to leave Asa, her brother and herself would be homeless. That isn't an option for her so she chooses to stay, even though she is risking her life. There is Asa, who is incredibly dangerous. He is also so in love with Sloan; it's on the verge of obsession. It was really interesting to read his point of view. He does everything for her and thinks he is amazing in everyway but in all honest, he is a horrible excuse for a person. He doesn't seem to understand that his actions are going to be his downfall. (view spoiler)[ You can tell that he has a major mental illness, which explains a lot of his behaviors. (hide spoiler)] Then there is Carter. He turns Sloan's and Asa's world upside down. And all he wants to do is save Sloan. He sees the bad in Asa and what he is doing to her. He will do anything to protect a girl he barely knows. I can't really say much about him because it would just spoil the entire book. He is a big part of the plot. This is my first Colleen Hoover story and I am hooked. I loved this story. I loved that each chapter was a different person and in first person. Makes the story more personal. You get to see a first hand look into domestic violence along with mental health issues. Let me just say that domestic abuse is a very scary thing and it should not be taken lightly. Some women (and men) simply cannot leave their abuser. We should never judge someone that can't leave their abuser for whatever reason. All we can do is help them in every way possible. I am just struggling for words right now. This book ate me up and spit me out. I thought that after a couple days I would be able to compose an eloquent review but I can't. You will just have to read this book in order to understand my feels. Because right now, my feels have taken my words. I'm just going to crawl into a hole now...

Love is not found. Love finds.

“I read once that the difference between an extrovert and introvert isn’t how you act in a group setting. It’s whether or not that group setting fuels or drains you. An introvert can outwardly appear to others as an extrovert and vice versa. But it all comes down to how those interactions influence you internally.”

Mosquitos whisper sweet nothings into my barrel of monkeys that took to long to bring me the pizza I ordered.

People in Wyoming don't really exist, and I can never find the right outfit to wear when I shop for penguins.

Its my own fault. I should have known not to love something as much as I loved her. It was like she was for me. It was as if she was put on this earth to make up for all the shit I endured growing up. For a while, I thought she was God apology to me. I've created this ray of light to make up for all the darkness cast upon you by your parents.

"if it doesnt benefit you, it shouldnt fucking matter to you."

I couldn't allow something this perfect to be with anyone else. But I wouldn't allow myself to pursue her right away.

Before we walk inside, he leans down and whisperer, "For what it's worth, you look really beautiful today. despite the fact that his words have frozen my feet to the floor. That's all those were. Words. A few simple words strung together, but they held just enough power to physically stop me in my tracks.

He nods. “Exactly. When a man cheats, it’s purely physical. We’re attracted to a woman’s hips, to her legs, to her ass, to her tits. It’s all about the sexual act. Dick in, dick out. When a woman cheats, it’s purely mental. They’re turned on by emotions. By their feelings. If a woman fucks a man, it’s not because she’s horny. It’s because she wants him to love her. That’s why I fuck around on Sloan. And that’s why Sloan is not allowed to fuck around on me. Cheating for a man is different than cheating for a woman, and that’s a fact, proven by mother nature herself.” Holy fuck. People like this actually exist. God help us.
God help us indeed
