Actually couldn’t figure this one out. But far too convoluted for my taste. Also superintendent battle is a really dry character.

I really liked this one a lot. The mystery, the false leads, the lies - it's all very well crafted. Some people don't like this one due to it's disorganization apparently, but I didn't have any trouble following the leads. I was actually able to isolate the killer on my own in this one, which I enjoy doing when I can. I definitely recommend this one, even if you haven't read the prior Superintendent Battle books. I certainly hadn't and I was able to follow it fine.

My only complaints were minor, like Audrey running off with a complete stranger on a whim at the end of the book was weird. That is likely just due to the attitude of the times in which the book was written. Perhaps it's meant to be romantic. I'm not sure.
