Moved fast and slow at the same time. Following a character who remembers nothing means we often spend pages figuring out how to open a window or reasoning about the best way to stand up from a chair. In that sense, I felt more connected to Mr. Blank than most main characters I get to read. 

I found Travels in the Scriptorium to be a dark and at times profound dip into what it means to write, to read, and to tell stories. The blunt, clean writing style doesn’t guide the reader to any conclusions but leaves a lot of room to think.

This Auster guy writes some real page turners. Do i need to read this again. Still i haven't got over the experience of listening to his book Lost Illusions.
