This book was interesting. I didn't exactly loved the ending, but generally the verse gave a bigger impact to the story and to the character's feelings and I really liked that.

I am always prepared to be emotionally spent when I read an Ellen Hopkins book. I think her writing is brilliant but emotionally draining. This is her first adult novel and took a little more of an emotional toll than I was expecting. The dose of despair, cheating spouses and terminally ill children was more than I was prepared for with this book.

I'm giving it a 4 stars just because one, it's Ellen and second because for an adult book it was pretty good. It made me reflect on the life I hope to not have in the future when I am these 3 ladies age.

I wish there was more to each story though. I felt like it was just kind of rushed and it didn't finish.

I did love how Ellen made sure it was a triangle. Brilliant.
