This anthology celebrates geeks of all kinds (enthusiasts, be it for comics, Dr. Who, movies, gaming, computers, or even grammar), and allows them to step out of their traditional supporting roles and into the shoes of the romantic lead. Forget the old stereotypes: geeks are sexy. Featuring nine stories ranging from sweet to hot, by authors G.G. Andrew, Laura VanArendonk Baugh, Tellulah Darling, Mara Malins, Jeremiah Murphy, Marie Piper, Charlotte M. Ray, Wendy Sparrow, and Cori Vidae, Covalent Bonds is a chance for geeks get their noses out of the books, and instead to be the book.

Colvalent Bonds is a four star anthology of nine stories all with a geeky theme, some are really sweet and some a bit hotter. Each story is about a girl embracing her geek and finding romance, it will satisfy all the geeks out there, be you into Dr Who, tabletop games or you tube. Each story convays the charecters breaking out of their norm to try romance. The first story is The Hacked Match by Wendy Sparrow, Aubrey is an FBI consultant sent to ‘persuade’ an exhacker, Seth, to do some not so legal hacking for the government. Aubrey is pretty shy but is attracted to Seth and the feeling is totally reciprocated. The events take place at a convention where Seth is a panellist, Aubrey is total geek and the pair really hit is off. Next up is short and not too sweet Issues by Jeremiah Murphy, again set at a con,Emma is searching for a rare comic and hopefully get some interest in her comic artwork and bumps into an irritating neighbour the she really doesn't want to see. Addie-cted by Charlotte M Ray sees Addies a live stream gamer hosting a marathon weekend long stream. Trent is a vital part of the guild and his computer crashes so he drives the two hour journey to use Addies computer so the stream can go ahead. Sparks fly between the two. Spoilers by Marie Piper is a sweet short story, Mike meets a gorgeous girl in the queue to a camp horror and is happily surprised when they get on. Rogue Trip by Laura van Arendonk Baugh is set at another con, tabletop games this time. Cassandra is desparate to her hands on a brand new game launching at the con. She meets Adam, and the pair clash right away, but he needs her help to save the day when problems put the games launch at risk. Critical hit by Cori Vidae is another tabletop gaming story that is really sweet. Classification of a Nerd by Mara Malins sees Emily fighting for her independence after a bitter divorce from a control freak. Her boss seems to have issues with her and they don't get on, things heat up when they have to go on a work trip together. Better Than Chocolate by Tellulah Darling starts with geeky Sadie upset over her ex, she meets up with Nic, who she remembers from school as being The bad boy. Can they get past their assumptions of each other. The final story is Girl meets Grammarian by GG Andrew, this is a sweet story about a poet Eliza who has just become a professor, she doesn't think that grammar is all that important and argues with fellow professor Kunal over grammar but they surprisingly hit it off. This is a great mix of stories for all us geeks, I really enjoyed this selection.
