I struggled to rate this one honestly. For the first time I can’t just review the book as a whole because there were things I loved and things I really hated. For example, I hated the how bloody preachy this book was about plastic in the ocean. I get why something like that is important to talk about but, for me, this wasn’t the place. It was slipped into the story so often that it took away from the story. I also HATED how Hannah’s friends were portrayed; they were privileged, self-absorbed children who read like they were teenagers instead of 11 year olds. They were addicted to coffee… I mean.. 11 year olds drinking all that COFFEE?! I really liked the storyline and where that went and I found myself needing to keep on turning the pages to find out what was going to happen. I just think the things I’ve previously mentioned took away from the story way too much for me
