Uh, What the hell did I just read?!
When my friend told me to check this book out, I picked it up without question because she was the one who gave me my first book and introduced me to the world of books.

But hell no, This novella/short story DIDN'T do it for me. At all.
First of all, the story didn't flow like people would want it to. It just kept flowing on the surface without going even a little bit deeper.
It's basically a story you'd find on an amateur porn site just with a little bit of extra drama added. 
Like how you'd mix random elements and get The PowerPuff Girls but in this case, the experiment totally failed!

Though the author tried to make it good, maybe get some people aroused, but the idea of dirty talk is so bland that it only succeeds in to turning people off for a day or two.

Seriously, 

"Do it, Baby Girl. Cum so you can open up your cervix for me. I want to make sure that my seed takes root deep inside you. Make sure you're bred."

Uh, no one told me we were getting biology lessons! 

And the only reply the guy gets for his pathetic dirty talk is, "Jesus, Jasper. That's so dirty."

No shit Sherlock. Yeah, I said that out loud.

We literally get to see the bad guy only three times! Touch her, Meet her, Try to rape her. That's it?!

You meet a guy you've had hots for a long time and Bam! You let him knock you up!
What?! She was talking about earning money, making a living and shit and all that goes down the drain the moment she's naked in bed with the guy! Who does that?

And the biggest turn off? No matter how much they use it nowadays, NO guy ever tells a girl, "Oh, we don't want daddy to hear, I'm your daddy now. Let your daddy suck you off." We DO NOT like to play your daddy while buried to the hilt inside you. So get that idea out of your heads!

Some moments were so dumb, it's like they were begging for us to laugh. 
"He has your growl." Seriously?!
What are you going to write next huh? 
Oh, look his laugh is like his mother. 
Hey! he walks like his father. 
Wow! He jumps like his mother! 
NOPE.

And the Title? People would think that it would be some kind of taboo love story. But No, all we get is everyone's approval and blessings for marriage. There was no actual sneaking around!
If it was YouTube, I've would've screamed 'Click Bait!'

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for novellas but only if they're worth reading. Now I'll never get my 40 minutes back. I would've stopped reading, but the need to review this written porno kept me going.

The fact that people give this short story 4 & 5 stars is beyond me. I'm not even going to think about that.

Perhaps, I'll check out the full length books coming out in December and Later next year. But judging from how this turned out, I'm not sure I'd be paying a visit to Alexa Riley's works anytime soon.

I voluntarily received an advanced reader copy of this book and chose to review it.

I liked Wanting my Stepsister. It has a bit of a darker, more dramatic edge than the majority of Alexa Riley's books which I enjoyed. Of course, it still had the sweet and syrupy but the edge was a nice change. I felt the end was a bit rushed, I would've liked to have seen the usual couple of epilogues they usually have, rather than just the one, but still, a quality read.
