Water's Wrath

Elise Kova2016
"The Solaris Empire found victory in the North and, at the cost of her heart and her innocence, Vhalla Yarl has earned her freedom. But the true fight is only beginning as the secret forces that have been lurking in the shadows, tugging at the strings of Vhalla's fate, finally come to light. Nowhere is safe, and Vhalla must tread carefully or else she'll fall into the waiting arms of her greatest foe. Or former lover."--Page 4 of cover.

One of my favorites in series. Second only to the second. Action packed, easy to read, only a little slow in the ending and just a little jumpy, but very good.

Elise Kova continues to get me. This book was just so painful in all the worst ways. Kova has the perfect balance of fantasy and romance. It has been incredible to see Vhalla’s character development. Kova also gives us so much from the “side” characters. I love u Elise, and I am both afraid and excited for this last book.

Water’s Wrath was a huge step up from Earth’s End. I was much more invested in the plot of this installment and the characters were a little less infuriating than they were in the 3rd book. It had its ups and downs, but I am really excited to finally get to the last book. Pros: • Return the palace- There’s just something about the palace and the learning environment in book one that I wanted to see more of, so I’m so so glad that the crew returned in this book. • Ending- Surprisingly I am a huge fan of the cliffhanger and the ending in general of this book. I don’t want to reveal any spoilers, so I’ll just leave it at that. • Pacing- What made this so much better than the previous book was the pacing. There was a huge jump in action (sometimes almost too all over the place), but I was much more engaged. Cons: • “Plot Twist”- The fact that Vhalla couldn’t see this coming is ridiculous. It was there at every turn, so I really skimmed the whole build up to the end. • Toxic- I’m not really sure how I feel about Aldrick and Vhalla. I am actively rooting for them in most scenes, but some of what they do “for love” is just so questionable, like upturning the whole empire kind of questionable. So I like the depth of that kind of love, but it does seem very selfish. 3.75/5 stars

The plot thickens and by the end of this book I cannot phantom how they will overcome the adversities that lay ahead.

Cried so much in this one I woke up with a head ache. I've come to the conclusion that Elise Kova is cruel to my favourites :(

Powering through and onto the final instalment! I have been blown away by this series. Vhalla is such a remarkable protagonist, unforgiving and realistic and essentially, incredibly turbulent but also lovable. This series is a keeper.

Oh wow honestly I don’t know how Elise keeps doing it but she keeps writing books that have me hooked & I can’t put them down. As the 4th book I was scared that the plot was going to be dragged out but I was wrong this was a masterpiece even though my heart was broken at a certain point. I don’t want this series to end at all

This one was so much better than the third one! It started off a little slow but oh boy, do things start happening! The whole ending of this book..... :( :( :( *SPOILERS* WHY BALDAIR, WHY?!? I loved him! Why did he have to die?!?! And at the end when she lost her magic! I hope there is a way for her to get it back! And I think the Emperor died randomly. I wanted to read about it!
