A somewhat odd read that still had me compulsively turning pages (possibly due to the very short chapters). Occasional beautiful writing that jolts between third person and the viewpoints of a whole cast of characters, creative dictionary definitions, Brazilian gossip columns entries and even poetry. The whole somehow becomes more than the sum of its parts.
