As the second millennium draws to a close, war is declared. The I.D.C., humanity's protectors for the past 2000 years, are at odds with the Scientists, a society dedicated to the extinction of the Good Ones, angelic beings with awesome powers. When the number of Good Ones dwindles to dangerous levels, Director Henrik Hurt and his son, Stephen, must enter a battle of wits with the Scientist, a malevolent figure in a golden mask, and his ruthless servants. As love blossoms and traitors emerge, drastic measures are taken by both sides. But who will pay the price?
