I liked this more than the first novel in this series, but I still liked the second much more.

While, yes, I understand that when I read these books, I will get a lot of smut. However, Bast fills her books with so much sex that it often lacks in other areas. The excessive smut often distracts from the reading as a whole and the general story.

Another issue I had with the novel was the cheesy lines and awkward sayings. This has been a recurring problem...

There were definitely redeeming parts of the novel that were emotional or action-packed. The end was great. Loved the end. In general, the second half o the novel was much better than the first.

I do not think the novels have been that well written, however, I think I will continue to read this series only because I want Theo to find someone and the plot actually IS very interesting. It's just too bad she doesn't focus on or explain the background or plot well enough due to the distracting sex scenes.
