Women's and Literacy Moving to Power and Participation
In a world dominated by information technologies, more than half of the planet's women are illiterate. And over the last 25 years, the gender-gap in literacy—in print, technology, health, economics and politics—has only grown. Here, students and practitioners from adult education and women's studies raise important questions about literacy, identity and power.
