Oh boy! You know what time it is?! Another time to read a wonderful story about Yara by Yossi Lapid!

This series is quite the guilty pleasure for me. Who doesn't love a story that promotes being kind to others and the environment that is also fun to read and gorgeously illustrated? This series hits all of the notes I want in a children's book series - educational, fun and nice to look at. So, of course, I'm going to pick up another book in this series. It's a natural fit.

This time around, Yara has some yellow-headed parrot friends! They are guarding a nest very high up in the tree, just around our little friend Yara! They have sweet, little chicks up in that nest. Unfortunately, some people near by want those chicks... And not to take care of, to do wicked things like sell them! But as we learn more, as wicked as it is... they have some pure intentions. Luckily, our friend Yara is here to educate and protect! She teaches a wonderful lesson to our new friend.

The water colour images are absolutely stunning. I find this series really stands out for how beautiful it is. Sure, we aren't supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but can't we just a little? The illustrations come alive and help tell the story. They are soft, sweet yet tell a story all on their own. It feels like I'm in a professional art class. 

Overall, this is one fantastic book! I highly recommend any young readers to pick up these educational, environmentally-friendly and fun books. This is one of my favourite series.
