Wow, I can't believe this series is over for good. 20+ years in the making and we finally have the last instalment. I have a deep regard for the characters and the world Malorie has fabricated, and the story is one of the most groundbreaking and powerful stories of our time. With that being said, this was NOT the best book in the series.

It would be near impossible to top the first book, even with its ending, that book is still the best one and will always hold a special place in my heart. Even so, I think CrossFire, the predecessor to this book, was better than Endgame. However I did like that this one followed a murder mystery/thriller style narrative, which made it somehow more unique than the other books, and parts of it certainly were pretty amazing.

(view spoiler)[I like how the author always brings the books up to date, especially the two most recent ones. The newspaper articles are flipped versions of real events, like covid vaccines, Brexit, and the Windrush generation (from CrossFire). I think that's a really clever way to put the story into perspective and somehow makes it all feel more real. (hide spoiler)]

The story was extremely gripping, especially towards the end. I couldn't put it down.

I would definitely recommend this book, but make sure you read the whole series first. Maybe you could read the last two on their own, but I'm not sure they'd be the same without Sephy and Callum's story. Either way, the entire series comes strongly recommended but with a trigger warning because of the topics included.

I flipping love this series so much and I am sad that is has come to an end but for me this wasn’t a great end to the series :( I was kind of left disappointed because Malories writing is incredible but I wasn’t fully hooked on to the last book like I was any of the other ones.

It felt abit bland to me even though there were twists and shocking things
