★Review★

I have wanted to read this book Fooorrrrrreeeevvvverrrrr.

And I enjoyed it. I did.

But I will admit to being biased. As I hate journalist heroines. I do. They annoy me. 

As the heroine did here. She lied to the hero and to herself for most of the book in all honesty. 

I found the romance too quick to happen, given the hero's history.

And it was a bit cheesy. I expected grittier given the subject.

But I did love the hero. I adored him. Even if he was cheesy at times. He knew he was.

I DID NOT like how the situation was resolved with the Brother in law. That left a bad taste in my mouth.

And I never massively warmed to the heroine. And her massive pity party toward the end annoyed me even more.

I will continue with the series, as I did enjoy it, loved the hero, just wish the heroine had been less selfish and "woe is me"

This was the 5th book I’ve read by Katy Regnery and I must say she never disappoints. All her books are amazing and sweet. This book was heart wrenching really. Its got no crime, no mystery, no crazy ex's crawling out of the woodwork right at the last minute and no threats whereby the girl needs protecting. What it has got is the reality of the effects of war injury. 

The title and cover isn't great and I think gives the book a wrong impression of the story.
