i enjoyed a lot of this but it was all dampened by the sheer length of this novel. jesus christ, why do roadtrip novels always have to take up so much length!!
(thank god i got stranded in croydon or i would have never finished this within the year)

Absolutely love the series so far!!! Loved being back with the old characters and getting to know them more I personally felt that the story just didn't quiet have the same build up as the last one so lost half a star. The story for me felt slightly long winded which lost the build up for me. The ending was a bit predictable in parts but still enjoyable. The story is grate at continuing to add characters from well loved classics can't wait to continue with the final book

This is like a warm blanket. This is Agatha Christie mixed with the House in the Cerulean Sea, chock full of awesome female characters and a plot that carries on so well I just had to keep reading. I worried so much that this would be too long but alas not long enough. This is the ultimate comfort read, I want to live with the Athena Club immediately

I think this series is fun and I love all the characters, but I did find this one to be a bit slow at times. I felt like it dragged out the story, and took longer than necessary to get the job done, but overall I enjoyed it!

This series is a Victorian-era mystery, fantasy series, which brings together a misfit group of women who are the result of scientific experiments.⁣

I love that the story reminds of TV shows such as Once Upon a Time and Penny Dreadful. You never really know which characters are going to show up next.

One of my favourite things about this series is the writing style. Not only are the pages filled with lyrical descriptors but the sprinkled throughout is running commentary from Mary, Diana, Beatrice, Catherine and Justine. ⁣
