Perfectly fine, but nothing to exciting. I hate the hand-cuffed to someone trope and I didn't really connect with this tale. I much preferred Fine's previous title with main characters Pixie and Levi.

This book. OMG this book. Ok, I really enjoyed Best Kind of Broken, the first book in Chelsea's standalone Finding Fate series. But Perfect Kind of Trouble? Ahhhhh-mazing. Seriously. I wouldn't change a thing if I could. It is absolutely perfect as-is.

Handcuffs and scavenger hunts and serious chemistry, oh my! There are so many things I loved about this, I'm not even sure where to start, so to avoid a total gush-fest, I'm going to keep it pretty short and sweet. I don't want to ruin a moment of this story for you. This book truly has it all. Yes, there are funny and sexy moments, but there's also a really moving story for both characters... and a whole bunch of feels.

Kayla and Darren were fantastic characters on their own, but when they were together? I have no words. They had a ton of chemistry and I loved their banter. They were so well-matched. Both were stubborn and thought they had figured the other out, but there was a lot more to both of them than met the eye. There's no insta-love between them, if anything they spend the book overcoming their initial impressions and misunderstanding of the other. Both Kayla and Darren grew tremendously during the course of this book. In addition to finding out truths about each other, they learned about themselves and that the history they thought they knew wasn't as simple as they might have thought. 

None of this growth would have been possible had it not been for Kayla's dad and the instructions he left in his will. Not only was it unique, but it was unifying and it fit so perfectly with the past. I get chills thinking about just how perfect it was. Admittedly, I was a little skeptical when the plan was revealed in his will, but I was ridiculous to ever doubt Chelsea.

I'm so hopelessly hooked on this series. I love that it's centered around one small town and the same characters, so my beloved Pixie and Levi popped up in this story. I'm looking forward to the third book, Right Kind of Wrong, both for the new characters and the update on the couples I loved so much in the first two books.

 THE STORY:

Kayla Turner needs to catch a break. The poor girl is broke and homeless. She's back in town for her estranged father's funeral. After losing her mother, now her father, she's left completely lost with no idea of where to go next. With no job and nowhere to live, with only a few dollars in her pocket, Kayla is downright lost.
 
Daren Ackwood, the once wealthy handsome stud, is now struggling to make ends meet after his life takes a turn for the worst. Kayla's father, James Turner, the closest person to a positive parental figure he had in his life, is now dead and he's taking it really hard.
 
Kayla and Daren both receive calls from an attorney stating they are mentioned in James' will. The will doesn't just give them an inheritance though... oh, no, no. They are forced to work together to receive it. These two opposites soon find out they have more in common than they originally thought.
 
At first I wasn't sure about this scavenger hunt story line... but immediately I knew I was wrong. It was so much fun! It bordered on a super-fun road trip, which are my absolute favorite. The creative story line full of fun and silliness made this story so much more than just a new adult romance. With the sexy scenes at a minimum, I was able to fully enjoy the story and not feel overloaded with scenes that weren't necessary. I really enjoyed where Chelsea took this story.

Wow Chelsea Fine! She is quickly topping my list of favorite Authors, she builds incredible stories and characters and she did it again with Perfect Kind of Trouble! I agree with Lisa on so much, the scavenger hunt was priceless and it made this story unique. There was such a perfect blend of silly and sexy with just a dash of suspense and I loved it all!

 THE CHARACTERS:

Let me start with Daren, after Best Kind of Broken I was very excited to learn more about him. Way too good looking for his own good the self-dubbed "legendary lover" comes off like a cocky, arrogant, spoiled brat! I loved learning more and more about him. Then there is Kayla, beautiful and quiet... another person that people get the wrong impression about. These two are the reason for the saying: "don't judge a book by it's cover." The more that I learned about them, the more my heart broke and the more I fell in love with them. The same happened with Kayla's Dad. By the end I had completely different feelings about him. Then there is Ellen... if Chelsea Fine is reading this... please give Ellen her own book! She is incredible and I think we would all eat it up! Fine has a talent for revealing things about her characters and their pasts a little bit at a time, always leaving you wanting more but never satisfying your curiosity until the end. It is what keeps me coming back for more! We got a sneak peek at Jack and Jenna as well... OMG I cannot wait for their story :)

As far as Daren goes, I was unlike Becca in that I really didn't care for him too much in Best Kind of Broken. I knew there was more to him, but I wasn't so sure I would like him even after getting to know him better. I'm okay with admitting I was wrong. I definitely grew to really enjoy Daren's arrogance and hilarious one-liners. This "legendary lover" definitely has a way of growing on you. ;) Kayla I liked immediately. Though she was dealt a bad hand, she was strong and refused to back down and claim defeat. She was a fighter, and I couldn't respect her more because of it. Yes, she was immature and snarky at times, but that just added to my love for her.

 OVERALL:

I know I've said it before, but I just keep coming back to this same one word... Fun. This story was just so much fun for me. It was light and silly, yet really took a few deep turns here and there, as well as a dash of suspense. Having their somewhat tragic stories revealed while reading through their fun adventure really made this story complete for me. 
 
Jack & Jenna... YES, PLEASE!! Can't wait for their story. And you hit the nail on the head, Becca... Chelsea definitely leaves us want more and more as her stories progress! Such an amazing and talented author that I'm so happy we fell upon. I'll definitely be continuing on with this series, and I would recommend it really to almost anyone. It had romance... it had fun... it had a couple sexy scenes. Overall, it was the complete package.

Perfect Kind of Trouble was well... perfect and fun is exactly right! How Chelsea Fine can combine such perfect amounts of angst and fun is amazing to me and such a talent! I have to agree with Lisa, her books are the complete package! I am so excited to see Jeack and Jenna's story and anything else Chelsea comes up with! :)
