this book (series) destroyed me but i wouldn’t have it any other way. i’m already missing it, the characters, the interactions, the world. this book series will forever have a place in my heart and be something i will revisit again and again. but all good things must come to an end (or should i say beginning 👀), and what will i do now? live. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, READ THIS SERIES!! ps- i’ve also never cried this much at a book before—i’m balling my eyes out while writing this!

** spoiler alert ** For the ending of a great series the end was a little disappointing to me. The beginning was great and they’re about to go on an epic journey and while their journey is great it’s also boring in points. There were points I had to put the book down and couldn’t read anymore. The ending is what kills me. I loved how it ended where she sacrificed herself and she didn’t come back it was so refreshing and bittersweet because not all endings are happy. I was extremely mad Varia lived and had the nerve she does. Where they were discussing how hard it was for her to not have her powers anymore, yeah serves her right, and just how hard it was for her. I feel like she deserved to be the one to die not Zera, but then she just magically comes back? Without a real explanation isn’t very likely and just it kind of ruined how this book stood out from others I’ve read where the main character doesn’t live.

Unfortunately, I didn't quite enjoy this. It might have been simply the wrong timing, but I ended up skimming over passages and in the end even skipping them. Might give it another try sometime, though.
