           definitely not my favorite of the series for many reasons
1 i like the book split in seasons not holidays
2 there wasnt any major drama until the end and thats why it took me long to read-- i wasnt interested
3 why the heck did zach kiss cassidy and becca on nye ???? kinda not a big reason to dislike the book but what??

Yet another one day binge. What can I say? Heather Vogel Frederick knows how to rope me in.
While not one of my favorites, I still immensely enjoyed getting to prolong my journey with the girls in Concord. It was interesting seeing things from Becca's point of view for the first time. While I'm glad her character has evolved from the first book, it did take some getting used to having her narrate parts of the story. Maybe I'm biased as a girl close after Emma's own heart, but I had to warm up to the idea just as much as the girls did when Becca first joined book club. That just goes to show you what good writing can do, no matter the genre; I always feel like I have my own place among them.
I don't think I'll ever get over how much I adore this series, so I will continue to get my fix for as long as I can. I think Emma put it perfectly when she was thinking about why people continue to love and read the Betsy-Tacy books: "I wonder whether the appeal of Maud Hart Lovelace's world is its sense of permanence. Sure, the characters grow and change over the years, but most of the changes are happy ones, and there's an abiding sense of stability in the books". 
That is exactly how I feel about The Mother Daughter Book Club. When the real world gets crazy and we feel like nothing is stable, we can find it by returning to our favorite characters once again.

[4.5] This is the fifth installment in the Mother Dauther Book Club series, and Becca got a POV! I️ feel like that definitely upped the story. My favorite Part was Part Two, but that’s the bad thing about these books is that once on POV is over you don’t usually get anymore of that part of the story, you just eventually figure out what happened because of the other characters.Anyways, it’s really cool to see the girls in the Mother Daughter Book Club grow up, especially when you look back on the previous books.
