The Book of Azrael

I want to give this book a 5 so bad, but the build up to the drama took up most of the first book. I however am not complaining. The set up was superb. The characters are textured, chaotic, and are riddled with faults. This book is my literal definition of the perfect Romantasy. This book gave me When The Moon Hatched and Poppy War badass FMC vibes. Dianna is the definition of destruction and chaos and I am loving it. I can already tell that after this series I’ll be in a major reading slump, but I can already tell it’s going to be so worth it.

  I didn't remember how long we talked, but somewhere amidst her laughter and smiles, I decided I would rip the world apart for her.


once you get past the huge chunk of world-building, — which i really thought would put me back into an extended reading slump — and the poor editing, this story becomes impossible to put down. it was enemies-to-lovers, magic, necromancy, vampires, gods and so much more. immediately starting the next one because that cliffhanger……?????
