I'm conflicted. I enjoyed the writing - it was a page-turner with some haunting imagery - but as I approached the 60-70% mark it started to really irritate me. Too many chaotic threads, too much implausability, too many diabolical characters for a sleepy Tassie township. I feel like it should have wrapped up 100 pages sooner than it did.

I enjoyed many aspects of this book, however it perhaps tried just a little too hard to satisfy my taste. That being said, I'm glad to see it has gained some traction since being released, because how good is it to see emerging Tassie authors?!
