Jen Hatmaker's books always have a common thread of humor, genuine honesty, and a somewhat scattered sense of what the book is about. This one is no different.
There were many times the paragraph she wrote couldn't have been articulated better had I written it myself because it aligned so closely with my own thoughts. At other times, I had to double check the title of the chapter because I wasn't sure what we were talking about anymore. 
I appreciate her candid and vulnerable stories to show us she is just a woman who loves Jesus and still struggles with many of the same things everyone else does. There are a few things throughout the book rubbed me the wrong way a bit and I haven't yet determined if it's because I just didn't like hearing it or if it is because it doesn't align with what I know to be true about what Christ says. I have no intention debating those things here but I say that to show it was not just a feel good book. There are some things throughout that made me question if I've become too reliant on others within the boy of Christ to be Doug the job He called me to do among others.
Overall, it was a pleasant read with a few laughs here and there and left me with some things to think about.
