I am pleasantly surprised by this book - I expected cheesiness, saying-I-love-you by-the-end-of-the-book romance, unnecessary drama and a non-existent plot. To be fair, it was a little unfair of me to think that way, and the fact that I liked it so much (especially compared to some other hyped books) was probably karma's way of saying a big 'fuck you'. Well deserved. I got attached to the characters almost instantly and I would've kept reading even if the plot wasn't good (it is!) because of them and the writing itself. I am officially a fan of this series and I can't wait to read the next one.
