Read this just to have my own opinion on everyone’s dislike for this book. It wasn’t necessarily bad but it made me feel like I was reading fanfiction on wattpad, and not just in terms of plot but the way their POV’s were written.

 I hated how everyone treated Ava like a child who can’t think for herself, and the brother looking for someone to watch over her just irritated me but anything for the plot.

Still plan on reading the rest of the series tho

i liked it but there were some moments that made me incredibly embarrassed, and, yes, i mean especially when alex started to sing. the cringe i felt then was next level. but i enjoyed it tho. it took me some time to get used to the writing style. i think there is too little description and everything happens too fast. the characters moved from one feeling to another far too quickly. i hope i will like the second book in the series more.

3.5⭐️- Honestly, I was so scared to read this book and got super underwhelmed by the hype I saw on TikTok. I also didn’t expect to be a 5⭐️ book but it entertained me so I give them that. It felt like reading a Wattpad book from 2015 but because of that it made the experience so much fun and I did expect a Wattpad attitude from Alex. From his over-possessiveness, how he is a multimillionaire at 26 and how he had the whole “touch her and die” (literally) it was just… very Wattpad. But am I complaining? No. I was eating it up.

100 pages into the story they already got together. I thought to myself: oh no I will be so bored now, it will only be dramatic love talk with no story.

Boy was I wrong. It had a lot of smut, don’t get me wrong (and I loved that). But the PLOT omg it was amazing. 

Even though everything was hella fake (I mean, multimiljonair CEO/COO who could make everything happen with money and a princess of a non-existing European country). But it was so fun to read!!! The story is super interesting and I really wanted to continue reading to find out what would happen!!

Writing style was so nice and everytime I thought ‘huh’ Ana Huang made sure the reader understood correctly. 

I am just gonna ignore the fakeness and unrealism of this story and enjoy it. Can’t wait to read the next one 😌💅

Oh and btw: loved the fact that the bad boy boyfriend STAYED a bad boy, because in a lot of stories the bad boy turns out to be softie (which I also like), but the fact that he (kinda) stayed mean made it way more original imo!!

Maybe I just hate smut in books, or this one was so much it was just boring and sooo cringey. It's decent for when you're bored as shit and wanna laugh at something with your best friend but I don't know how it can be a genuine read for some people🤷‍♀️ Ava's story is a bit sad one scene I did actually enjoy in the scene when they were in the bed together and she had a panic attack and he comforted her. I think the book had potential to be a decent read but was way too sexual and the plot and writing just kind of bland. But if you're a booktok person who can't read jackshit without kinky sex every 10 pages you'll probably love it

Alex and Ava = match made in heaven. Honestly, Ava would always accept him as long as he told the truth but he didn't want to (understandable but still f.u). Honestly, no words because the story was so well put together and it wasn't much of a slow burn as I expected it to be. The timing was right and enough for the characters to really come around.
