for the first time in years this is the first book i’ve finished within a few hours and it’s because this book just ... feels really personal especially as a pakistani muslim myself living in a western country. i especially loved how the author highlighted Zara’s internal struggle about not knowing exactly where she belongs (the west vs pakistan) , because that’s something i struggle with frequently and it was so refreshing to read this story that felt incredibly personal, i need more books like this immediately. and everyone should read this immediately too.
