It's a fast read but the grammatical errors really turned me off. Also, I've known half of the things that she talked about in the book so it was a little disappointing as I expected a much more in-depth perspectives on "life and style". Alas, I may have hoped too much. Interesting effort, but clearly a huge room for improvement.

This is it. This is the book (and the blogger) that I have been looking for. I follow a lot of blogs - travel, lifestyle, the works - but I have never found THE one. You know - the one that fits exactly who you are, the perfect combination of your various personality traits. Until Estee. I follow her on Instagram, but it wasn't until I read Bloom that I realised how alike we truly are. She did exactly what I have always wanted to do - escape small-town Canada for the magical wonder that is living in England. Okay, so we aren't entirely alike - I will not be starting a beauty blog any time soon - but I felt a genuine connection once I read her words. It was like reading exactly what was on my mind, exactly what I didn't even know I was thinking at times. At several moments throughout this book, I wanted to get up and change my life around to exactly how I wanted it to be. It was so inspirational. Her insecurities, her anxieties, her likes and dislikes, her way of seeing the world - they all resonated with me. Despite the fact that she has nearly 1 million followers on Instagram (and even more on other platforms I am sure) it felt so personal, like she was talking directly to me. I have never read a book by a YouTuber before - I tended to shy away from them because it seems that they all are putting a book out despite not everyone having anything to say. But this was my exception. It may not be yours - you may think that the writing only penetrates on a surface level, you might think that it mirrors all the other beauty/blog/books out there, but for me, it was exactly the inspiration I wanted. Never before have I wanted to stop reading in the middle of the book immediately in order to go buy my own copy from the bookstore so I wouldn't have to rely on the public library system in order to reference back to it. How often does that happen?
