Cute, quick, and easy read, but that’s kinda it

After Reading Spoiler Alert I decided that I wanted to go straight back to Dade’s writing and When I saw that All the Feels follows on from Spoiler Alert following another Character from God’s of the Gates but in This one, we follow Alex and Lauren and how they ultimately fall in Love.
Alex, who plays 'Cupid' on the wildly popular show, "Gods of the Gates", is having a hard time with his image. His repeated and very public scuffles have landed him in hot water with the powers that be. To keep him from blowing up his career, he has been given one last chance… and a minder….
Enter Lauren Clegg. Lauren desperately needs a break from her job as an ER therapist. She’s offered a handsome sum of money by her cousin to keep Alex in line. The position is challenging because of Alex’s impulsivity, but once Lauren gets to know him, the lines between professional and personal begin to blur…
Once again, this one has good Rep within the Book as Alex suffers with ADHD & Lauren is a Fat main Character, so this book deals with fatphobia, Fat Shaming much like the first one. There were however words and phrases within the book; where Alex would describe Lauren that I was personally not found off, While Lauren might be okay with them it’s not words that I would use myself.
This one was less heavy on the Fanfiction and that helped me to get fully into the story this time around and there was good cross over from Spoiler Alert. I found Alex’s guilt complex issues compelling, and Lauren’s serious high stress job burnout was heartrending and eye-opening, as well.
Much like the first this romance develops as the story goes on. Alex is funny and sweet, despite his reputation, and Lauren was the perfect match for him. The couple complimented one another perfectly. Their banter is so entertaining!!
Another Enjoyable Romance Read.

4.5

Good blend of funny, emotional, and nerdy. The characters were loveable and had chemistry and such good banter. They were older (late 30's, which is really not "mature", but in the romance genre is nearly geriatric). I appreciated that. I also enjoyed that the heroine was not tall and gorgeous. And the hero had ADHD and it was shown affecting his daily life and personality. It was a very enjoyable read. Some jokes or some characterizations felt a little repetitive or one note. It wouldn't make a favorite list, but a solid fun time.

I think I prefer this one over Spoiler Alert, but part of that was how much Wren’s struggles of giving away too much and not advocating for herself hit me. While there were definitely some scenes that were cliché it was overall a pretty cute read. One of the main detractors for me were the repetitive descriptions of Wren’s appearance; there are only so many times a character should be described as round in a single chapter. Also pretty damn disappointed there was no pegging, I thought it would hit in the epilogue for sure.

3/5⭐️ | 2.5/5🌶. I enjoyed Spoiler Alert and was excited to read Alex's story. I struggled with this book. I feel like overall, it was a cute story and definitely liked the representation of ADHD. However, the characters love felt rushed/forced/lacking/off. I also felt like Lauren was very bland character- yes, she had all her body positivity and empowerment- but aside from that she didn't have much else. Alex was typical ADHD impulsive/unfocused, however he acted like a total tool on the outside with no real reasoning behind it. I had high hopes, but it fell short for me in the areas I wanted it to soar.

I liked this one SO MUCH. Everything I love about Olivia Dade books but somehow magnified.

I got feels … Alex is incorrigible and I loved it!!! He has his serious moments but he’s not your typical hero. I loved that how he sees Lauren and appreciates her. Together they are fantastic. There is some steam and talk about 🥕 but not detailed. I guess someone should take that to AO3, lol. As a fuller figure person, I find Olivia Date’s book to be confidence boosters … positive reinforcements. Tropes: Friendship to lovers story. Famous and the regular degular find love.

*4.5 it would be five stars but something about the first half of the book just didn’t click with me. i think it was because they didn’t seem to really have feelings for each other which can work but for me it didn’t. besides that though i loved the book, the fact that alex writes fanfiction about his character is so cute. also his love of tropes and his literal scream when they got to live out the one bed trope was a lot of fun. *as a side note for as much as alex talked about pegging i was surprised that he and lauren didn’t do it also i received an arc through netgalley

An average or almost ugly or unconventionally average looking heroine who is actually fat, not just the average curvy described woman. Stomach, big thighs, not huge breasts. I like how Oliva Dade paints her heroines. She's not labelling them as curvy when they are actually fat women. Yes, I used the word fat. I liked how Lauren was described. It wasn't sugar coated, but Alex still was attracted to her and loved her for who she was. The romance was there, but it wasn't the main point of the story. You still got all the feelings and emotions that came with it but it wasn't instant.

I loved this book. First of all, I need an Alex Woodroe right now. Second, I resonated with Lauren a lot so I loved her character. Yes it’s a romance but doesn’t feel typical love story at all, very realistic for me. I loved it and I’m so glad I picked it up

4/4 Stars 2/5 Spices God Damn could these series get any better? The answer is yes. I wholeheartedly think this is the best book in the series. Not just with the relationship, but also the characters is really what made this cream of the crop. The way Olivia brought forth Alex's ADHD in a respectful and represented way and not making it the sole plot or purpose of his character was amazing. I also loved that Lauren, was yes a plus-size queen, she was confident in herself. Especially when they finally did the deed. This book as a whole made me feel so represented and seen. Now for the spice, it gets even more compared to the first book. THE DETAIL? OLIVIA WHEN AM I GETTING THE PEGGING SCENE? The way Alex loved and doted on Lauren was great. The sexual chemistry and buildup were great. The big contention in the book was sometimes annoying, however. I feel like it was something necessary for people to listen and understand. It ok to put yourself first.

This was cute but I had a hard time connecting to the characters. I found it difficult to root for them.

I got this book early from Goodreads giveaway. So good! I think I liked it better than the first one. I think they did focus on our main girl being “big” and “round”; it was mentioned a few too many times. Otherwise the love story was adorable and the characters were fun. I really enjoyed this book!

This book was ridiculously adorable. I really enjoyed the first in this series but this one really stole my heart. I had a bit of a hard time getting into it, but once I did I loved just about every second. This installment had even more fanfic tropes (single. bed. need I say more?) and I’m so glad it did. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was okay, which was a shame as I really loved the character of Alex in Spoiler Alert. And even though he had the same energy something wasn't the same. I know that Romance isn't my preferred genre but in trying to read more plus-size characters the majority of books are romances. In this even though the tropes are made fun of the addition of them was just a little bit too much for me but I do like the concept.

After the most recent incident involving an altercation in a bar, Alex Woodroe's reputation can't take another hit. He has almost finished filming the final season of Gods of the Gates and the showrunners, Ron and RJ, want him to stay clean through the showing of the final episode, so Ron hires his cousin, Lauren Clegg, who has had experience dealing with high strung people in her former job as an ER therapist. What Lauren thinks will be an easy way to earn some money so she can take time to decide on a career path, becomes an immense challenge, not only trying to leash Alex's tendency toward public humiliation, but also her growing attraction to Alex's good looks and quirky personality. All the Feels is another wonderful book by Olivia Dade. Both main characters are fully realized in this book by showing the positives and negatives of their personalities. Each characters starts with preconceived notions about the other, only to discover that they are both so much more than the way they look. The central theme of the book is abuse in many forms and the effects on those involved. The ending isn't sugar coated, making the results seem much more realistic in a story that is essentially a Hollywood fantasy. Overall, All the Feels isn't a perfect story, but it is a fun romance with serious message - well delivered.

4.5 stars I think this would have been 5 stars if I hadn’t been in a weird slump when I was reading this. It took me forever to finish (through no fault of the book) and the longer I’m reading a book the less I find I enjoy it. The last 150 pages I sped through but it took me a little while (over a week) to get to that point. I am definitely going to be rereading this at some point though as Alex and Lauren deserve a full 5 star rating following a non slump read of this book because I’d been so excited for their book ever since I first read Spoiler Alert.

** spoiler alert ** ⭐️ 4.75 Absolutely LOVED this book. This was my first Olivia Dade book, and I was super excited to read it because I’ve heard such good things about Spoiler Alert. The storyline, Alex and Lauren’s individual stories, the humor, the SPICE 👀 it was all so so good. Alex is definitely one of my top book boyfriends. The way he treats Lauren, the way he talks about how much he worships her body, the way he loves her gave me constant 🦋 I found myself relating especially to Lauren’s story and her struggle with self-worth. One of the most heartbreaking parts in the book that I related to oh so much was when her best friend said: “Sometimes I want to burn down the world for what it’s done to you.” Ugh I just loved this book so much. The only reason it wasn’t a full 5 ⭐️ read for me was because there were some chapters that were sometimes emails, fanfics, texts, etc. and I found myself wanting to skip through them. Overall HIGHLY recommend purchasing when it’s published 🥰

This one didn't hold me quite as tightly as Spoiler Alert but it is still a fantastic read. Alex is a golden retriever hero with himbo energy and Lauren is a sassy heroine with #relatable struggles around self-worth. Features a plus size MC, incredible banter, and some swoon-worthy spice.

just all the feels. thanks to Olivia Dade for answering the question that left me hangin at the end of Spoiler Alert Finally, with a shake of her head, she picked up her e-reader and got back to her book. my review of Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade: very fairytale esque, also what happened to Cupid and Lauren?

Olivia Dade does it again! I didn't think I'd be able to love this book more than the first, but the author crafted a beautiful romance with outstanding characters who are entirely unforgettable! Alex is a full-blown cinnamon roll. I loved the way the author portrayed his ADHD and how unique he was. I was laughing out loud throughout the story. But it wouldn't be an Olivia Dade book if it didn't have moments that tug at your heart-strings and make you want to hug the characters. This is hands down one of my faves from 2021!

“Whatever you want," he vowed. "However you want it. Nothing more, nothing less." Her smile was tremulous and lovely and wide and entirely his.

Even he couldn't make her accept the most loyal heart she'd ever known, despite how desperately she wanted it. Even he couldnt make her believe she was important and worth all his sacrifices. In the end, there was only one person who could do that.

"Sometimes I want to burn down the fucking world for what it's done to you."

"If you don't want me to defend you because it embarrasses you or makes you uncomfort- able, then okay. I won't like it-I’ll fucking hate it-but I'll accept your decision and try my best to do what you're asking. But if you don't want me to defend you because you don't think you're worth the risk to my career, then that’s a different matter entirely, and no. I refuse to abide by your wishes”

“You’re not important enough to defend? Even when someone insults you to your fucking face, literally two feet infront of me? I’m not supposed to react to that in any way?”

It was either a ring or a muzzle

The synth speaks to my soul.

He dug his phone from an inner pocket in his suit jacket and tapped out an addition to his ever- growing FIC TROPES TO MAKE DIRTY AF WITH WREN list.

I want to hear what your first-favorite fanfic trone is. Please tell me it's not sex pollen"

he'd never read a fic this fucking good. Not one. Not ever.

They were going to cuddle for warmth? Holy shit. All his fanfic and real-life dreams had come true. This really was the best day ever.

Well, he'd only complain occasionally.

“This is the best day of my fucking life!" he shouted. "Only! One! Bed! My second-favorite trope!"

You already made me wait until Wednesday, Wren, which is essentially next year

Lauren Clegg. His nanny. His friend. His obsession His confessor.

“In fact, your absence made me philos ophical. If a tree misbehaves in a forest and no one is there to scold it, did the tree really misbehave at all? I say no. Let me explain my reasoning in scintillating and exacting detail”

When she failed to bite back more laughter, he temnted record the snorting merriment, just so he could replay it whenever he needed to smile.

for my presence? Alex has indicated that he wouldn't mind my telling everyone “this is Nanny Clegg, the perplexingly short albatross I must carry in penance for my previous misdeeds”

If Alex lived in a mini-castle, she lived in a mini-mini-castle.

With his forefinger, he pushed her phone closer to her on the table. "You should write that down somewhere. Consider it a free preview of my TED Talk."

The rug under her feet was turquoise and white and pale yellow, and from all signs, the product of sheep who spent their lives deep-conditioning their wool for optimal softness.

Only to discover that his hand towel was made from some form of cotton she'd never encountered be- fore, fore, one presumably blessed by angels during the manufacturing process.

Now that Lauren considered the matter, Lucifer and Alex had probably been separated at birth somehow, genetic incompatibilities not- withstanding.
