Becoming the Dark Prince: A Stalking Jack the Ripper Novella
Reviews

I never knew how much I needed this! I’ve been waiting for his POV and I think I just fell for Thomas Cresswell all over again. His character is so beautifully written, with his handsome, cunning, flirtatious, and incredibly intelligent person, and I have no more words to describe how much he deserves the world. This novella made up for how much I missed him during the murders on the Etruria.

I love thomas james dorin cresswell <3

I liked this but not loads :(

5⭐️This quick read from Thomas Cresswell’s perspective was exactly what I needed in my life. Not only did it confirm our dear Cresswell is as tall as he is charming, but it gave us a little insight into his feelings towards Audrey Rose and the circumstances between the final stage show on the RMS Erturia and the asking of permission letter in NYC. I truly loved it, just as I love Thomas.

Loved it!!

LO AMOOO😭

I loved getting a glimpse into Thomas Cresswell’s POV! It was so needed and dare I say, I fell harder for him!

Have I mentioned how totally obsessed I am with Cressworth? I’m a total sucker for the soppy romantic nonsense that is this ebook. Plot? Who is she? All I need is Thomas acting a fool and saying romantic things.

Ugh, I LOVED this novella so much!! Thomas is fast becoming my favourite book boyfriend and to get his POV is incredible and made me fall in love with him even more. He is so lovely, so thoughtful, and caring! I loved seeing this side of him!!

i need him

thomas cresswell my beloved

This was the perfect little interlude between books 3 and 4, and I loved reading from Thomas's point of view.

three important takeaways from this book: 1. Thomas is 6’1” and a half(ish) and Audrey Rose is 5’5”. 2. audrey rose is admittedly very fucking stupid sometimes (still love her tho) 3. im even more in love with Thomas and this series in general after reading this. honourable mention; there was a fade to black scene. no words just sobbing crying throwing up banging my head on a wall rn ???!??!?!???!!!

I loved this so much! The insight into Thomas' side of EFH was perfection and I loved seeing what came after.

i thought i could not love thomas cresswell more but this book was written to prove i was wrong

"In four short days, she’d be in my arms, bleeding out. And I’d finally become the dark prince my father knew me to be, as I unleashed myself upon them all." #1: Stalking Jack the Ripper ★★★★★ #2: Hunting Prince Dracula ★★★★★ #3: Escaping From Houdini ★★★★☆ #3.5: Becoming the Dark Prince ★★★★☆ Truly, this felt as if it should have been included at the end of Escaping From Houdini (at least the part that belongs to the book), because both Cresswell's thoughts on what's going on between Audrey Rose and Mephistopheles , and the moment that both Wadsworth and him address this, would have defenitely solved some of the issues that I had regarding the character's actions in the book. All in all, it's always a delight to read about darling Thomas.

I love Cresswell so much.

a book from thomas cresswell’s POV?? yes please. im also very biased so i had to give this book a 5 star rating. i mean it’s literally not even a 100 pages so. but I love this man so much and this book told me exactly why. my poor baby :(

The price of love doesn’t come cheaply...But the cost is worth it. I’ll admit it. I read this novella before reading Escaping From Houdini. I’m also writing this review before reviewing Hunting Prince Dracula. Oops! To be honest, I don’t mind reading this novella before Escaping From Houdini, because the third book of the series has already been spoiled for me via navigating the Bookverse. I’m one of those readers that is okay with some spoilers, especially when they are about the obvious. Alas, here I am, reading Thomas’ perspective of what happened on the RMS Etruria. What I liked most about this novella, is that it is well written. I’ve always liked Maniscalco’s methodical, yet eloquent voice. Sometimes, novellas aren’t as diligent on dictation, so I’ve found throughout my time of reviewing. This novella doesn’t follow the mold in that sense. What I liked least about this novella, is that Thomas felt slightly overdone. So far, his character has felt natural and, well, male. Here, he felt like he was written in a manner to appeal to the romantic. While I’m not saying that he cannot be romantic (because he always has been), it felt like his character was being written by a female, for what a female would want a male suitor to be, to do, and to say. Furthermore, I was a little disappointed that, while it is from his perspective, Thomas only talks about Audrey Rose. That's it. Becoming The Dark Prince is certainly written for the romantic. Despite some aspects of Thomas’ character that I didn’t care so much for, this is a good novella, with some beautiful quotes. (See my blog post for some that drew my attention!) Vulgarity: None. Sexual content: Some heated moments. Violence: (view spoiler)[Audrey Rose had been stabbed. (hide spoiler)] My Rating: ★★★1/2 My Blog ¦ Bookstagram ¦ Twitter ¦ Pinterest ¦ Facebook

AND HERE I THOUGHT IT WASN'T POSSIBLE FOR ME TO LOVE THOMAS CRESSWELL.

Thomas Cresswell is the most perfect man ever ! Fight me !

3.5/5 A nice little novella that explains some painful stuff from the last book and resolves a lot of drama.
