Let's not compare them too harshly with the old creative team though--they were awesome. This new team is pretty good too though, lots of talent and they really do try their best.

Jughead Vol 3 very much feels like a traditional Archie story, just set in contemporary times. The characters are pretty one-note, and the set-ups are just one-off situations that don't really change any overall plot. On the other hand, it's a fun enough couple of stories that younger readers will enjoy. They will fit in the digest volumes well, just don't go looking for the reboot feel or Riverdale.

Woo! This was substantially better than the first volume! A good balance of some serious friend issues with a lot of humour! Enjoyed the heck out of this version of Jughead (though don't go looking for the Riverdale version here...). A worthy update of these old characters, and a great all-ages comic that works in the modern day!
