Information and Data Modelling
This book is concerned with information for enterprise management. For the manager or management student, it illustrates how to approach the gathering and storage of data so that effective information can be made available. It describes methods for the analysis of information requirements, and how to structure data in order to make the best use of computers. Most of the text is concerned with how to produce the data in a form from which information can be derived, in addition to helping managers understand what and how much information is needed. Valuable for the computer scientist who knows the technical details of computer-based information systems, but needs to understand how to set this knowledge in the framework of the needs of information system users.
