Fire Heart The Dragon of Umbra #1
Reviews

4⭐️I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next one in the series. Lore is a half elf hiding in a kingdom where being a magical creature is a death sentence by the Umbra King who hates all things magical creatures. He rules the kingdom with fear which is exacerbated by his pet dragon. Lore is thrown into a rebellion that she does not want to take part of, sent to the castle as a potential bride to the King in order to get close enough to end his tyrannous reign and allow magical creatures to regain status. She meets Beauty, who quickly becomes a friend in a sea of enemies, and Abraxos who snakes his way into her heart without her knowing. I think there is so much potential with this story- the author built up a world, however I feel like there definitely is room for it to grow. I enjoyed the introduction to the different magical creatures, the character development of Lore. I think the villian could have more depth. I enjoyed the dual POV and the Enemies to Lovers. Looking forward to and hoping for more as the story continues.

A quick YA read packed with humour, romance, deceit and a dragon :)

All I gotta say is I need to find myself an Abraxas.😍🔥🖤

This was a super fun adventure of a read! Romance and dragons? Sign me up! Great world building while being fast paced and had me turning page after page excited to find out what will happen next. I am very much looking forward to more from all these characters in the next four upcoming books. While I wait, I’ll be reading Heart of the Fae and Veins of Magic. Thank you to the author for an e arc copy to read and review :)

First of all, I'd like to thank Emma for the chance to read the ARC before release in exchange for an honest review. As with all Emma Hamm Books, the writing is so colourful and all the characters are absolutely magical (heh.. get it? ;)) The plot seemed original and refreshing. Especially with the magic elements and a certain character that transforms into a dragon - wait whaaat? (He does that at the beginning so it's no spoiler, I don't think). Also I am all about banter between characters... thus clearly an enjoyable 5 star read.
