Deny Them the Night Sky A History of the 548th Night Fighter Squadron
This is the detailed story of the 548th (P-61 Black Widow) Night Fighter Squadron in the Pacific Campaign of WW-2. It is written by the son of a 548th Radar Observer, and is lavishly illustrated wtih photographs, documents, memorabilia, and drawn-from-memory illustrations provided by over 30 Squadron veterans. Comes with photo CD of all images in text, for examining fine details. Story is mostly first-person and follows the Squadron from startup, through training, through action in the Pacific (Iwo Jima, Okinawa, others), to its deactivation in late 1945. Unusual in its thorough coverage of all aspects of Squadron function and operations, not just aircraft and aircrews.
