The State of Food and Agriculture 2001

This publication reports on current developments and issues of importance for world agriculture. It analyses the global agricultural trends as well as the broader economic environment surrounding the agricultural sector in a comprehensive world review. The first part looks at the global situation, the second reviews the situation in the regions of the world, whilst the final part assess the economic impacts of transboundary plant pests and animal diseases. There is also a paper on a selected issue and for this edition the topic is the future of the agricultural trading environment: issues in the current round of negotiations on agriculture.
