Trimalchio A Facsimile Edition of the Original Galley Proofs for The Great Gatsby
In 1924 F. Scott Fitzgerald sent the typescript for his novel titled Trimalchio to his editor. In the following months Fitzgerald rewrote the text in galley proof and selected a retitled it - The Great Gatsby. This text shows how Fitzgerald progressed from the first draft to the finished novel.
