Baby & the Late Night Howlers Sweetverse
Reviews

Baby always assumed she was a beta and she was okay with that until her omega designation comes about and suddenly Baby is thrown for a loop. With her heat on the horizon and no pack or nest to help her through it, she heads for The Omega Centre for help finding her perfect pack aaaand cue our heroes, The Late Night Howlers. The Howlers had all but given up hope of ever finding their own omega, and being a motorcycle gang who in their right mind would pick their rundown bar and apartment building over those packs with fancy nests and ritzy mansions? Well, they’re surprised to find that Baby absolutely would. But of course, things cant always be peachy perfect, so when a rival MC comes prowling about The Howlers must do their best to keep their Baby safe or risk their lives being torn apart. Our heroine Baby is feisty, sassy, and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself against her occasionally overbearing alphas, oh and she takes shit from no one. Moon has built distinct personalities for each of our alpha protagonists, making it easier for us to distinguish who is who and not have them blur into and become lost amongst the others. I will say however that at times I struggled to remember real names/club names and what their job is but never fear, there is a glossary at the end of the book that made this a lot easier once I discovered it. Another thing that I loved was that for a book that’s full of spice, the plot is surprisingly strong and the balance between sex and plot was all but perfect. There wasn’t one big scene between Baby and a single alpha who we then never saw again. Moon manages to incorporate and build on the relationships in a way that leaves no one out and doesn’t leave readers wondering, which is really difficult to do in a harem genre! One important thing to note is that Moon has included a trigger warning at the beginning of the book, the triggers are somewhat light but it’s still better to have the heads up. Overall this book was really enjoyable and kept my interest from start to finish and immediately had me reaching for the next in the series. Kathryn Moon nailed the whole abo alternate universe with alternate human biology while still keeping it very believable.

That was indeed sweet omegaverse! This book has character glossary at the end! Kudos for including it, I only wish I noticed it before finishing the whole book because I was quite confused at first as there are almost 20 people in the club xD Seth was my fave character, and Jonah the least liked of all in Howlers pack (not counting Cole), which is kinda ironic. Baby is a badass and I love her too.

Wow I loved this a lot more than i thought i would!! I've never read like an alpha and omega type romance before, so some of the terminology was lost on me, but every single guy in here was sooo sweet and im sad i don't get more of them.

Outside of fanfiction, I had never read anything from the omegaverse. So, I was hesitant. BUT OBVIOUSLY KATHRYN MOON PULLED THROUGH. With a late-blooming beta and a pack full of...quirks, I believe my first step into the omegaverse was framed nicely by baby and the late-night howlers.

You know what? This was fun! Was it 70% smut? Yes. Am I mad about it? No. Things I liked: - Seth & Jonah’s relationship - Ryan was sexy as hell - Sexy times were muy caliente! Of course the plot was predictable, but who cares? Not me! Also Baby as a name was pretty dumb and got annoying tbqh. I actually was gonna read Lola’s book first but then saw that this was the first one in the series and I’m glad I read this first.

Having thought of herself as a beta her whole life, Baby’s world is turned upside down when she suddenly starts perfuming at a packed bar. The latest of late bloomers, our girl Baby is an omega. And her heat is coming fast. Baby ends up selecting the Late Night Howlers, a motorcycle club pack, as her pack of choice. They were never expecting to find an omega, having been let down before—so they are all immediately obsessed with Baby. I found it a bit difficult to keep the pack members and Baby’s alphas separate—some of them are not romantically involved with Baby but are still pack alphas so I kept getting names mixed up. But we love a large harem so you go, Baby. I really loved all of Baby’s guys, but did have a bit of trouble with Scorch. He was so worried about Baby changing her mind and leaving the pack that his actions were actually being received as rejection and caused Baby some deep hurt. They resolved their shit eventually but it dragged on quite a bit. Overall really enjoyed this! Light and fun and the dirty talk & spicy scenes were excellent.

4.5 Loved it but it did feel a little drawn out at times

I don't know why I was so hesitant to try this book, because I really enjoyed it. Baby is this very sweet woman who loves deeply and is a secret badass. I loved the alphas, but I think my favorites were Mackenzie (books), Ryan (green), bullet (quincy?), and Seth (bomber). Jonah and Tornado were okay, but they each had their reasons for being a bit hesitant in the relationship and I prefer male characters that commit fully and show their devotion. As far as the plot goes I fully believe if Jonah got his head out of his butt and bonded baby at the estate then everyone could have gone back to the plaza and it would have been much safer. However, maybe things still would have unfolded the way they did even if that had happened. Overall, I think this is a very sweet, very steamy, and slightly frustrating at times story. I'm not as interested in Lola's story, but maybe I'll be surprised like I was with this one. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes stories with alphas, bond mates, packs, motorcycle clubs, reverse harem, steamy scenes, and strong female characters.
