Tao Te King

Lao Tse didn't spread a doctrine. All times there have been thinkers able to raise their vision beyond the phenomenon of human life to the eternal meaning of the cosmic process, whose greatness defy conceptualization. Tao wants to find peace in it and the resulting relief of de-emphasizing the seriousness of life, one that lacks essential intrinsic value.
