Road to Fire A Royal Romance
Reviews

Starting on the opposite sides of the war, full of secrets and unsettling attraction Saxon Priest and Isla Quinn are one hell of a ride. From start to finish Road To Fire is a fast paced, heart wrenching tale of fierce love, finding loyalties and realizations that every one can indeed be broken. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t the one who will fix you. Put every piece of your broken soul back together until there is no longer one without the other. These characters completely stole my heart. Maria Luis has created a new world with this beginning novel in the Broken Crown series encompassing the perfect amount of angst and swoon worthy moments that are sure to leave you hopelessly lost to this story line. Saxon Priest is the epitome of a sexy, brooding, demanding and damaged Alpha. You’ll want to hug him as much as you want to see his ice melt to Isla’s fire and damn does it melt in the inferno of her. Once he realizes she is everything he’s ever craved in life, she truly sees and wants him despite the scars life has brought him, he is ALL in. Saxon may be cold as ice he wears as a daily shield but his bite just keeps you coming back for more. Isla is FIERCE. Although she is fueled by emotion she stays collected and strong when faced with the harshest of realities life can throw at her. Through sheer will and determination she breaks Saxon down while at the same time standing for everything she’s always believed in. Isla never looses sight of her cause even when it shifts as she comes to terms with her ruthlessness, threaten what is hers and she will incinerate you. Despite being on opposite sides she recognizes the familiarity of purpose within her and Saxon immediately, that together they both will save not only themselves but those that mean most to them. I enjoyed seeing this side of Maria’s writing so much. It’s darker, grittier and deliciously dirty. Road to Fire is definitely one of the top books I’ve read so far this year and I can not wait to see what comes next for the Priest brothers.

Honestly really good to my surprise lmao. Interesting world building that is still a bit confusing ngl
