This book really suprised me. I was honestly not expecting to love this as much as I did, but here I am, so invested into this story! So firstly, I really really enjoyed the plot of Oath Taker. While I know some people felt this book tried really hard to recreate a new version of successful books, I actually didn’t mind the familiarity of it. With that being said though, I definitely felt that this book was original and unique while still having that same lovable feel of a classic fantasy novel. Now, I absolutely loved these characters!!!! I really enjoyed following our main female lead Haven. She is such a feisty and independent character that really commanded this book. I did feel as though there were times where Haven was a little whiney and her age really showed. As for Bell, I really enjoyed his character as well! He is that classic sweet and kind Prince character who nobody believes in, but his story and journey through this book was so interesting and unique it made me absolutely love him! My favorite character in this book though was definitely Archeron. I absolutely love characters like this that are super sarcastic and snarky while having complete composure and that stone cold exterior. I definitely really want to know more about his past and delve deeper into his character. I was also very surprised by Stolas. At first he was just another *evil* character, but after the ending of this book, I am so intrigued by his character and fell in love with his snarky/flirtatious personality and im definitely interested to know more about his story. (Also I know that Archeron is currently my favorite character but Stolas definitely has the chance to take that title, I mean come on, “Hello, Beastie.”) As for romance, there wasn’t really much of it in this book, but the authour definitely set up a bass for potential romance in the coming books. (There were signs of a potential love triangle, maybe even love square? But honestly I’m not made.) Overall, I am so excited to start reading the sequel to this book! I really love where the plot is going and can’t wait to see how things end up!!

Omg I devoured this book. I don’t even know where to begin, but this book was amazing. The writing was an easy read and quick. Nothing too hard for world building, but still involved enough to have to learn and pay attention. I love the characters and their development throughout this book. I can’t wait to see what happens next on Haven’s journey.

Ebook provided by the author. I was lucky to get this beautiful book, and I will not stop telling everyone to read it. The author was able to merge fantasy, medieval and mystery in this amazing book. For Sarah Maas and Evelyn Skye fans, this is the book for you! We get this badass heroine and of course this dark and beautiful hero, with a side of amazing second characters who grew on me since their first appearance. The style is truly beautiful, I never got annoyed or confused, and the author just used the perfect words to describe her new marvelous world building. The runemagik that rule this world is the perfect background for this story. We are in fact in a world in which humans are not the only race existing. Solis and Noctis are powerful creatures, good and evil, that will just conquer everyone’s heart. Heaven is so perfect in her flaws that I could literally see myself in her and I could live her adventures as if they were my own. Archeron is our anti-hero, he’s so sassy and so annoying that I couldn’t love him more. The two of them had the perfect chemistry and I grew on them since their first encounter. Stolas: the hidden gem of this book, I cannot wait to read more of him. 5 stars because, come on, everyone need this book! Release date: May 23rd
