James Wilson of Uphall, West Lothian, Scotland had three sons who came to Australia, Thomas, George (came to Tasmania in 1832), and John. George's granddaughter, Ethel Mary Wilson (1879-1963), married Leslie Norman (1876-1954), a descendant of James Norman who emigrated from Colchester, England in 1827.
