I felt as if i was in a fairy tale the whole time and I literally LOVED it. But all i’m gonna say is just one word JACKS!!!

I LIKED ITTTT I was not bored once in this book and I’m trying to get into romantisy so I think this is a good starttt

Transportation. The absolute best part of this book is how I feel absolutely transported to another world, bringing the nostalgia of my own childhood, playing in the grass and water, climbing the trees and rocks. Basically, bringing back the memories of fairies, magic and wonder.
Fantasy as a genre is a victim of many clichés, overused tropes and plain regurgitations. Losing its light and beauty. This book brings it all back. The world building and plot is so spectacularly written its hard to look away.
The half a star is only missing because I felt the pacing was a bit off.
Otherwise it was perfect and I absolutely loved it and will be recommending it to everyone I know.

This was such a fun read, and I very much enjoyed it! I've never read anything like this story before and I thought it was so incredibly interesting. The twist on the idea of fates and magic was so intriguing and it made me desperate to learn more about the lore behind such a vibrant new world.
I loved Evangeline's character -- she's a hopeless romantic just like me! The concept of fairytales being reality was really cool, and it kept me captivated throughout. I also loved the dynamic between Evangeline and Jacks, and the element of mystery that was surrounding the wider storyline. All the side characters were very well-developed, as well as the world that the story took place in.
I feel like I keep using the same words over and over again, but this book was just interesting, cool and vibrant, and I can't wait to read the next one and see where the story goes!

I feel like 1,5 is already a stretch here, bonus point for the pink book and pink hair

Highlights

Just love him the same way you live your life -love him without holding back, love him as if every day with him will be more magical than the last, love him as if he's your destiny and the world will be better if you two are together, and he won't be able to ever stop loving you.

"Oh no, Little Fox. We have unfinished business." Jacks dropped his apple and took her neck, cupping her pulse with his cold palm.
the first time he calls her little fox.

She's seen Jacks from far away, but this close was different. He was a thousand cuts happening all at once. devastation made of hair as blue as dark waves, and lips sharp as cracked glass that would delightedly cut her.

But she was like the tide drawn by the tremendous force of the moon. It was no wonder waves were always crashing; they must have hated the pull as much as she did.

"I believe there are far more possibilities than happily ever after or tragedy. Every story has the potential for infinite endings."

All stories are made of both truths and lies, she used to say. What matters is the way that we believe in them.
