3.5 Stars Well, there isn’t too much to say that I haven’t already said in my reviews for the first three books in this series. It’s an entertaining mystery series about a no nonsense private eye solving crimes. I can’t say much about the plot without spoilers, but I do enjoy this series. It’s interesting enough to keep me engaged, but not overly taxing to read. They are great in-between reads for when I want something fast and gritty. If you like the first books, then you will enjoy D is for Deadbeat as well! I really liked this installment. There were some twists and turns, and the ending wasn't entirely predictable. I liked the mild romance and that it was more of a side note than a staple for the plot.
